26 / 04 / 2021

The accompanying programme of the Tires & Rubber exhibition has begun at Expocentre Fairgrounds with the same-name forum organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, the Association of Exporters and Importers, and Energy Group.

Head of Chemical Products and Technology Exhibitions Division Natalia Skuratovа thanked the Association of Exporters and Importers and Energy Group for the assistance in holding the first international industry forum on the exhibition sidelines and wished success to all participants and guests in her opening remarks.

Forum moderator, Vice President of the Association of Exporters and Importers Pavel Dolgov opened the forum with a report, which described the association, presented information about key suppliers of raw materials, and dwelt on exports. In his words, 48% of synthetic rubber is exported, including 20% to China, 11% to India, and 10% to Poland. Tires and pneumatic rubber tires are mostly exported to Kazakhstan (17%), Belarus (11%), and Germany (11%). Exporters are solidly supported by the government via the Russian Export Center, regional export support centers, the network of chambers of commerce and industry, and other business development institutions.

The speech of Energy Group General Director Oleg Vysotsky began with a review of the tire market. He noted that the world tire production had been contracting in monetary terms, primarily because of the rapid production growth and low prices in India and China. The industry is unlikely to repeat the 2011 peak, the speaker said, adding that exports have been on the rise.

Energy Group Managing Partner Alexey Baranov continued to speak about exports and shared the practices of using statistical data in foreign trade operations for developing the goods and pricing policy of an enterprise.

Oksana Polyanskaya, expert from ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the CCI of Russia, devoted her speech to the quality and origin of goods, raw materials, and materials in the tire and rubber industry and invited the audience to take part in the industry contest organised by ANO Soyuzexpertiza together with EXPOCENTRE AO.

The audience displayed a keen interest in the speeches of investment advisor to the Indonesian ambassador Lubarto Sartoyo, Alfa-FTOR LLC General Director Sergey Andreyev, Mamontov Consulting LLC Managing Partner Olesya Mamontova, and other speakers.

According to the organisers, the forum aims to help tire and rubber industry professionals find new points of business growth.
